Scrap Fabric Postcards

Such a fun project today! Using up some of our scraps to make cute and fun postcards! I used the mailing labels on mine because sometimes, instead of sending them to someone for their use, I send them with an extra label in case they'd like to pass along the postcard!

Supplies I used:
Scrap fabric
Cotton batting
School Glue

I'm sorry that I had to edit in the middle after losing a part of the video. I hope it all makes sense. Also, I wanted to mention why I use the white labels, since I forgot to re-film that part. Sometimes, I want the recipient to be able to reuse the postcard, so instead of writing anything like their address or anything on the postcard itself, I write on the label, attach it to the outer clear envelope and mail. Then, they can use it however they like. When I send that way, I always send them a clear envelope in case they want to use it, too.

I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. I hope you’re feeling better today. Happy Mother’s Day. 🌸. Thank you for including my fabric postcard playlist. Your postcards are so cute and organized. I like how you work from a theme on some of them.

Just got 2 postcard books from eBay, lots of ideas, only a few $$s each. I agree you pick and choose your own unique creation. I do have a couple of questions: 1) I want to do lots of embellishments so I think I should put it in an envelope. A lot of damage could occur in the mail. 2) Could I use index card stock as the backing or even fabric and write on it with a permanent marker? A couple of your suggestions I want to start with is keeping Heat n Bond on pieces of fabric that I can fussy cut things out. Also, the line on the back with "Marie's creations 2022". that's a nice touch. How long do you think it takes to make one if your have all the supplies handy? I have one of those project boxes (empty) I think I will gather my materials and store in that so I can grab and sew! I'm really enjoying all your scrappy ideas. Thank you. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

This was a great video. I know what you mean about struggling to do things. I have had a couple weeks of that, too.

Shirley here. I have never made a fabric postcard but I think I might have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

I'm seeing "red". I just left a comment but as I was looking at the video I had another idea. You could cut these in half and they would make really cute gift tags and another way to use up more scraps. This is what I'll be doing today as most of my family is sick so I'm staying home. Hope you feel better, Marie!
