The fact this feature is, one, specific to Motorola phones, and two, is still featured on Motorola phones to this day is pretty awesome. I work as a doorman at a bar, and this is extremely useful while checking IDs in low light

Bro my flashlight was turning on and off and I had no idea what to do I couldn't control it. but thanks to u I just needed to turn off a setting 😅

Android 13 on the Moto G has completely removed the fast flashlight feature. In fact, there are no settings at all for the flashlight other than manually turning it on and off. The prior version let you shake it twice to turn it on, I guess Google felt that was too convenient and ditched it.

Used this chop feature since I got the phone in 2021, but with the last update, the fast flashlight option disappeared, but is still there on my husband's identical device. Any suggestions on getting it back? Thanks!

Thanks. I couldn't find the flashlight on/off switch. I had my phone set for chop, but apparently there was a recent update and it doesn't do it anymore. I go to "System" and "Gestures" and there's nothing about the flashlight there. I guess that option is gone.

My stylus 2022 stopped being able to turn the flashlight on by double chop motion after a small drop I thought setting could be turned on off for this option ?

I have set the settings up and slid to on but when i shake it it still does not come there another setting on the phone that might block it phone turning on with a shake?
