I love when you talk about eliminating hurdles...I do that, too! And I live in a one story, 1200 sq foot two bedroom condo and I still have cleaning supplies within easy reach in nearly every room. Just eliminates the laziness of, I don't want to get up and get that. Glad to hear Emery is doing well!

Something I'm working on for my great grandson, 17 mos, is 24 Christmas books, wrapped, open 1 every bedtime starting 12/1. He is at the age where the wrapping paper, boxes, etc are more exciting than the toys for Christmas. And of course, he will get his Grammy pj's to be opened before his bath on Christmas Eve.
His mom has asked for gifts of family time together at zoo's, pumpkin patches, family photo shoots, six flags, etc. I love this idea!

Wooden toys that are open ended are great. I have 4 children and that was a winner for all of them. My eldest is 15 and my youngest is 8. My 8year old still plays with it and very often the others will get involved to show her how they used tomllay with it. Its also great because all 3 of your girls can use ut together.
