Established a perennial bed of thyme and oregano in my main tomato bed, primarily to keep living roots in the soil 12 months out of the year.
As it turned out I was invaded by jumping worms, however the beds with perennial cover crops have few if any.
This year I added yarrow in the tomato bed for even more color and to attract lacewings for aphid control.

I saw those wasps for the first time ever this year! I guess having thyme helped. I had basil, thyme, dill, sage and oregano all in the same raised bed. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve never grown herbs before. They all did good but are getting thinned or moved or both. I had no idea those all could get so big. But watering needs are different for them all. Live and learn! 😂

Thyme is one of my favorite herbs! I use it on most everything!! I’m harvesting mine today. I’ve got English and orange thyme (added this year) I’ve been harvesting my herbs over the past few days.. I’ve got 3 mints, hyssop, lemon verbena, lemon and orange balm, sage, oregano, stevia all drying currently 😊

Great reminder to get some thyme cuttings to sprout for inside pots for winter. I have some basil sprouts going now for indoor pots for winter. I didn’t get as many herbs in the garden this summer. I ran out of thyme/time lol :))

Slowly break down over thyme?😂 going to create new herbs to keep going through the winter. I have creeping thyme around bushes but it kills anything small trying to start growing... And the weeds😊. It's a great ground cover. So it's used on steaks? Hmm🤔 have to see what else....

Isn't this supposed to be a vid on how to grow? Watched the entire video waiting for the seed planting, germinating and early growth maintenance. Well...that was a waste of almost 9 minutes!!!
