I learned C at first, but I've been using C# with Unity for many years now. I'm comfortable with it, and that's what I think matters most. Awesome video!

Learn some C it will teach you a lot. You don't need to master it, but having done some coding with it is really helpful. IMHO.

I'd say Java or C# because when you can code in one of those you can code in pretty much any language. I may be biased because those were my first two languages and they are popular in my country. Java and C# are big in enterprise.

interesting view - how about this approach - pick an open source package and learn it inside and out - ie: wordpress, phpmyadmin/mysql, gimp, suitecrm, obs studio -- wordpress could be the first choice since it's built around js, html and php - from one of these decide which coding language to learn along side the package - the idea is to learn a marketable skill because learning coding can take more time

You'd have to get something like Flash 5, MX, or MX2004 before Adobe acquired Macromedia to be able to program in ActionScript and see it working.

Call me crazy uncle Stef, but after experiencing TypeScript, Python, Solidity, Go, C/C++ and Rust...
I'm thinking the sane thing to do is just become one with the machine and go back to the most underrated language today: Assembly.

If you begin learning C++, the other languages will be easy to grasp, but the first PL will take a long time.
