Former Union Finance Minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram criticised the Union Budget 2024-25 presented by Nirmala Sitharaman, calling it a “virtual adoption” of the Congress Manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. Chidambaram also accused the government of not taking inflation seriously and questioned the Reserve Bank’s assertion that there is “no job crisis.”
