Mr Tharoor you are speaking to the wrong crowd. Can you please stoop down a bit to the spectators around you. Those jokers pay no attention to you, as they barely understand. Please dont throw pearls to the pigs.

The finance minister sitaraman will come back with a rehearsed speech. The speech will be full of blame for the UPA government. She will only play India alliance states against bjparty states and center. Basically, she will not give one straight answer in response to any argument.

Our Finance Minister (FM) avoids addressing the impact of the current budget on the commoner and gives evasive answers. What is her justification for double taxation on a selected few? Why impose GST on food items, medicine, hospital expenses, etc? This doesn't seem very honest, given that our PM was against taxing food and essential items used by the commoner while he was a Chief Minister. Despite this, our FM implemented GST on almost everything and increased taxation on everyday people's income and expenses. The ordinary citizen does not have social security benefits and continues to be taxed on everything they have until death, which is ironic. State governments also contribute to maximising the overall burden.

Elected officials frequently raise their salaries, and annual operating expenses continue to increase. The ruling parties appear to be taking no effective measures to reduce administrative costs; instead, they continue to raise taxes, levies, fees, and surcharges on everything to maximize revenue. Real inflation exceeds 10%, while the official range published by the authorities is below 6%. What are we trying to achieve: becoming a world superpower or reaching a five trillion-dollar economy, and at what cost?

Every company pays taxes after offsetting its expenses against income. In contrast, ordinary citizens are diligently taxed on their income and expenses, subjecting them to a double tax burden. Does our constitution honestly guarantee equal rights for everyone? Is that the reality today?

“Politics” shall be defined as Poly(i) = Many and Tic = Bloodsucking insects. We must take responsibility for electing these individuals to govern our nation and negatively impact our lives.

The BUTT UGLY part of the budget which should trigger a national uproar and protest is Indexation of property sale. My grandfather’s ₹30, 000 house purchase is now ₹4cr is taxed at ₹50, 00, 000. With indexation it would be ₹6 to ₹7 lakhs. !!!! 800% increase in Tax!!!!.
NO ONE WILL SELL ANCESTRAL PROPERTY until this is revoked

The ruling Government should have produced and submitted a Thanks giving Budget to the voters of the country instead of giving a budget for only certain class and sector...
Dr. Shashi Tharoor's speech and the presentation is far far better than the Budget Speech of the Finance Minister..
Probably the Government should give attention to this type of speech and should not take it as a criticism ...
This may be helpful to do better in the coming days....
