Crawler Canyon Quick(re)view: Element Bushido RTR

My definition of "quick" might not fall in line with others. But I've got you know, things to say. I call these a "quickview" because it covers unboxing and initial testing. It does not speak to durability, longevity, etc.

This is the "quick" review of the Element Bushido RTR, which is notable-- IMO-- not for what it has, but what it doesn't. Why General Grabbers? Why rehashed Bland-O® plastic beadlocks? Also, if you don't hate the Reedy SC480X, you probably will by the end of this.

Yes! Please make FOTC (Friends Of The Canyon) a new series...however that works out. I've tried to do something like that on my channel. I film my buddies rigs and "feature" them on my channel driving and list out the mods/build specs in the description. Those do better than my own videos most of the time.

I purchased this rig but not in the box as many have done so. What I mean is that first I purchased the roller chassis, wheels/tires, the stock radio, ESC, and motor. All from the same seller on ebay. I'm on a budget. Anyway, some may agree with you about the Bushido when it comes to the electronics, and the tires. But not me. I quite enjoy the little Bushido. I'm not a crawler expert of any kind but I do know a good vehicle when I see one. Not everything is about rocks! Don't get me wrong, you do have some good points. It just goes to show that in the RC world, regardless if a crawler comes with high end electronics, many will still not be happy or satisfied with the product. It's just like a full size car or truck. I still enjoy your videos though.

The first thing I would do is move the battery next to the servo to lower the CG some more.

the Bushido is a nice looking rig especially with these crawler canyon w/amazon wheels - s the new Trailwalker body is a good one as well - i consider getting the SE (reason -XF ) and putting a trailwalker body on it

I had a Bushido before the Bushido, called the old Proline Sumo on an FTX/RGT chassis 😉
This body is better but I am sceptical of the scale which works out a touch more than 7th scale, as I would want my Samurai RC to be tiny. This is going to look odd trailing with TRX4 Defenders etc.
Can you sit it next to a Defender or similar sometime?

I have wanted this one since it dropped!I have an Ecto and had a element knight runner! But now has it straight axial, under it now haha! But soon I hope ! Soon as taxes or maybe splurge and get vanquish but hard beat element and I’ve loved axial and still do! But 😊element lot bang for buck but wish this was little Lowe priced! Being basic but great platform! Also

Sc480 is a short course esc thats why its like 3 phase

That motor 😡. I had a similar experience with a redcat gen 8 v2. Felt like a short course truck motor. With a massive pinion. Try to ease into the throttle and nothing, then Not to mention the total lack of drag brake. Dropped the ol Holmes trailmaster 27t in there and what a difference.
