You know I regreat all the money I put into my Crawlers if you ask me they were fine out of the box maybe just a little weight here and there and that's all lol

Not the first time I see someone find out that the Ecto straight out of the box is incredibly capable. Interesting to see how the sway bar + trailing arms setup that most people hate performs really well.

The Element stuff is indeed very capable, even in RTR. There were loads of them at EAST, including me with a Sendero HD and a Gatekeeper, they all monstered most of the terrain. A few choice mods (tyres, bit of weight up front) and they are pretty much unstoppable.

Oh and if you like EAST then get to SST in September, it's the same thing but twice the size and over 2 days!

All smart ass comments aside, it's good to see a nice thriving R/C community in the UK. There's a hell of a lot worse things you can be doing with your time and dollars. ....

The elements not a bad truck however they're selling it at 399 for an extra 80 bucks one could have the Vanquish Phoenix ready to run truck which is three times the truck to the element is

My capra axled comp rig im using a much longer servo horn and different steering link to get full steering Also run a little more caster angle by leaning the axle back slightly by lengthening front lower links .

would be great to see a comparison between the Ecto and the FTX Texan, they look quite similar but . . . . . . .

Got the ecto two weeks ago myself and love it, though I have no idea how your suppose to put the full size battery tray in it, I tried, you might have to have the other body, the wagon body just can't fit over it, in the front or back, wish I learned this before I bought a full size battery . . . .

This is awesome i have been looking at buying one of those scratch n dent trucks. I have been wanting to get into crawling and its a fantastic starter truck if you want to donk one out over time!

I'm building an SCX10 II based crawler entirely from aliexpress aftermarket parts, including carbon frame, portal axles and lots of somewhat high end stuff and it should only cost about £330! I'm really excited to see how good it is

Tell you what mate here's my 2 cents on crawlers... my favourite crawler hands down was my pangolin with 4ws upgrade and I have a couple different crawlers of different scales nowadays ..the pangolin had all the trimmings across the truck.. Upgraded the remote transmitter motor and gearing to hardened parts.... For all the functional upgrades I spent maybe 300ish from memory that was including the remote.. however I just had to have everything the same colour so I forked out for all the anodised upgrades and rws linkage and mount that cost me more then the functional upgrades 🤯 sold it as life went sideways for a while.. but I'd buy it again any day of the week and I would spend it again 😂😂 Ive a few different trucks now but that thing was the best at crawling.. could almost go full horizontal around a sharp corner of a box roughly the size of your average 1/10 ... Thanks for all the effort mate 🙂
