The fans are booing because the Nogueira gym is a few minutes away from the arena. In that part of Brazil the Nogueiras are heroes to the people.

The sad thing is, shoguns technique is looking as crisp as ever, its his ability to take a hit thats deteriorated after all those wars, he cant take solid shots since the Henderson fights and at this point i think its time to start wrapping it up unfortunately

Shogun actually had pretty disciplined performance. He immediately put both arms up after every kick and escape in an angle to prevent counters. His chute boxe attitude came out at few times though.

I would like to see shogun go to Bellator MMA and fight... now that Bellator will be going to Japan for events that would be like a homecoming!

I have Nog 1 and 3. But I'm not a judge so what I say doesn't matter. but that was a great fight and I was happy either way. much respect to both legends.

Falta de respeito com um dos grandes ícones do MMA mundial, torcida geração redetv e rede globo que não sabe um terço do que é o esporte e o que esses lutadores passaram no inicio para hoje o MMA ser visto com respeito, Shogun venceu sim não de modo espetacular mas venceu, apoiar o Minotouro porque ele treina do lado da arena e mora no Rio é uma coisa, palhaçada demonstrando falta de bom senso e educação é outra, Parabéns Shogun pela vitória legitima, povinho sem memória!

Time and time again the Brazilian crowd shows that they're the worst crowd in mma. Look at how they behaved when Ronda was walking out, not to mention booing, for some reason, one of their legends who clearly won the fight.

Shogun looked really bad last night, and I did not think he won this fight.  It sucks to see him like this.  :-(
