Greek Sphinx are FEMALE! They are also WINGED. The traditional name assigned to the Egyptian "Sphinx" is Hor-em-akhet in ancient times and Abu I'hawl by the Arab Muslims. The nose was likely destroyed by early Muslims, and on other statues, for religious reasons as they were considered "idols" and thus forbidden under Islam. The chronology is limited by instructions by those above the speaker(no more than 5000 years old). According to geologists and the erosion suffered by the sphinx's structure and the surrounding land it gives a date of construction of over 800 hundred years old. Pharaoh Corfon, didn't construct the pyramid, he name was referred by Herodotus in his writings but it was not meant to be the person who build it. It was a hearsay.

There are at least 4 Entrances that I know of in/on the Sphinx itself.
The Entrance between its Paws is Reputed to be the Entrance to the Labyrinth, According to Pliny the Elder. If I remember correctly, or it was from Herodotus.
