First Equipment Purchase for our New Farm

This seemed like a better choice than the brush hog pull behind equipment we currently have left on the property. With this we can mow under fences and cars easily.

I used to work for the ODNR when i was 18. Many years ago. The mowers we used had a few "aftermarket " accessories that made mowing easier. Behind the outside of the radiator part of the hood we had built a frame to house an external filter for grass. Along the bottom of this frame is an open box capable of holding a machete and pull straps. Also we moounted tire treads to the mower deck so we could push picnic tables without damage.

If I had this property myself I would’ve got myself a Ventrac! It’s a 4x4 mower perfect for any situation, snow, dirt, Gravel, and everything else Mother Nature can throw at you! If needed you can get a heated and a/c cab! Copper creek cuts, a landscaper out of North Florida has one! Im really impressed at its capabilities!

Man you could lease them fields to a farmer for hay and such and make plenty extra money from it.

Looked familiar then you said Minnesota and I was like yep! That's what our local golf coarse used. They just traded them in I think in the fall.

Those two ply tires are more trouble than they're worth. Get some ag tires or atv tires. You won't regret it.

You know you can rent those pastures out to ppl for live stock or hay and make a nice little chunk

I would sugest tireject sealant for the tires, should keep from losing air, prevent flats.

a zero turn on 27 inch assasinators is great for mowing trails in a swamp at high rates of speed
also check the blade bearings. they make alot of noise when they go bad.

Very nice machine.
Definitely a lot of mowing, in your future.
I don't know what your insurance company would say, but what about a Derby ring on your property...

From my experience working with smaller tractors and other similar equipment, people neglect to service the differential fluids. It doesn't need to be changed super often unless you put tons of abuse on it or you drive through water all the time, but people just seem to never check or change the fluid in their diffs and axles. If it is a gray metallic color, then just changing it would be my suggestion

So how much was it that you paid for it and how much issues that you had to deal with for shipping it to you or did you go up with the trailer and bring it back that way.
