The Precision Machine 3-in-1 Screw Chuck takes versatility to a whole new level.

Screw chucks have long been a staple item in our woodturning workshop because of their versatility and ease of operation.

Whether you're roughing bowls, turning boxes or making wooden jigs and jam chucks, the Precision Machine 3-in-1 is perfectly suited for the task. To use, simply drill a hole in the blank to be mounted, thread the blank onto the screw until it rests against the face of the chuck and you’re off and running. When needed, you can remove or remount blanks and the work will re-center again. And with two different sizes of woodworm screws (1/4" and 3/8" dia. included) and reversible tapered collar, you have what you need for most types of work.

The Precision Machine 3-in-1 Screw Chuck includes chuck body with 1-1/2" diameter face, 1/4" and 3/8" diameter interchangeable hardened stainless steel woodworm screws and reversible collar that gives you a 2-1/2" and 3-1/2" face for holding larger work.

The optional Jumbo Reversible Collar provides a 4-1/2" and 6-1/2" face that's ideal when chucking large bowls and platters.

I’d like to buy one or two of these. I bought a couple from Penn state and they are cheap BS.

Looks like a copy of the old Glaser screw chuck that has been out of production for some time. The Glaser was probably the best screw chuck available when it was sold.

I'm just a novice when it comes to turning items such as this, however I think I might see an inherent problem with screwing on the threaded arbour. Would this not create a problem with striping the threads inside the bowl if you were not extremely careful when threading it onto your chuck, especially if you were removing your work several times & threading it back on ? I have a suggestion that might help in that regard though...Why could you not put in a four prong "nut-zert" (I'm not sure what they are called in the U.S.) in the hole you have drilled, that way your arbour could thread into that instead of a much softer wood. then when you were done, simply remove the "nut-zert" & fix the hole as you would normally do.
