Handy Screw Chuck

I used a screw chuck from Bert Delisle to make my apple. Several viewers asked for a closer view of the chuck. With Bert's permission, here we are.

The screw chuck consists of
- The body which is designed to be held in a standard 4 jaw chuck,
- A square drive screw
- A square drive driver
- An Allen wrench to tighten the 2 set screws.

Enjoy!

My chuck arrived today!! VERY quick delivery with no UK import duties ;-) Bert is a great chap to deal with and very helpful. Now to turn something worthy.

I'm constantly amazed by the ingenuity of woodturners. There seems to be an endless stream of new tools and projects for us to enjoy using or making.

Great job on the video Alan, thanks for sharing it out to fellow Woodturners, so they can have as much fun with it as I do.

Thank you Alan! =) Looks similar to what I was thinking with a couple little differences.

Hope your project for this week is those mice... they look like they might be cute!

A good Canadian using Robertson screws. :-)

A shame Mr. Robertson was so difficult about licensing his idea...
