Reading the Dream Stela of Thutmose IV - Word for Word

Hello fellow Egyptology lovers,

I have painstakingly divide the text of the famous Dream Stela of the Pharaoh Thutmose IV, which is located in under the head of the Great Sphinx of Giza, Egypt. The Dream Stela, descirbes the story as to how theThutmose eventually became pharaoh. The Stela says, that he had a dream and Hermakis (Horus in the Horizon - Sphinx), said if he cleared the sand, he would make his Pharaoh. Sure enough it came true and the stela describes the events.

Follow along and learn the Dream Stela by reading the words one by one. This video is a bit dry and slow, but it is meant for the Egyptian enthusiast, who wish to grow and learn the language of the hieroglyphics and enjoy a bit of ancient history.

Hello this is absolutely fantastic, i never thought i would get to find out anything about the hieroglyphics without getting lessons or visiting the area. I got curious about the why is showing two sphynx in the tablet even though he is standing in front of both of them and mentions two different directions. Also it looks like they are standing on top of something that has 80 +/- rooms ? is there something hidden under the sphynx ? What do you think ? Thanks a lot!

According to your translation I understand that the guardian of keys should get rid of his followers. In that case he must kill his followers. I reject this translation. Maybe the guardian of keys should make his followers be reborned because from another point of view, killing was giving a new life. In an initiation ritual they, the followers, are reborned into new life.
The sand was reaching the stone members of the statue, the statue then was asking for restorations.
Not killing the statue but restoration of the statue parts that were turning into sand.
