Alternatives To Adobe Illustrator - Affinity Designer Episode 1

Показать описание
There are some alternatives to Adobe Illustrator available and I want to look at a few of them and give you my opinion on them. I've been using Adobe Illustrator for over 15 years and ever since Adobe switched to their monthly subscription plans I have heard a lot of people saying they can't afford the monthly plan or just don't want to be stuck with software they have to keep paying for.

In this first part we take a high level view of the first option, Affinity Designer.

Good timing with series!

Adobe has went from being near and dear to my heart and onto my shit list - they have become nothing short of extortionists.

And I started with PageMaker 1.0 on a Wang 286 with the big floppies. So I am a long and dedicated Adobe fan - but we have just parted ways - so your series is just what I am looking for I have to stop back and check it out...

I would not turn off the splash screen as they tend to give away freebies with each new release through this splash screen.

In my opinion Adobe software, Even with the monthly few is still the best when it comes to getting great results on design.

The only relatively close alternative to Adobe Illustrator is still Coreldraw. Serif makes software for people who DON'T need what Adobe offers and don't want to pay for it. In that role, Serif is doing a good thing. A cheap price for limited tools.
