It was painful to get sub 8. Considering that the finale can be completed as cleanly as in one of my previous runs (I didn't take any damage at all in this part), then the time here could have been better by 20-30 seconds. I decided not to press the red key switch in advance like Maribo, because this will allow the second horde of archviles to spread throughout the map, after which they will become very difficult to kill. For the same reason, at the very beginning, I prefer to kill all or most of archviles (the first horde), before picking up the red key. I also don't know what exactly you need to do after pressing the red key switch to quickly and reliably clear all archviles and other enemies before pressing the last switch, although I managed to do it in this run. In the finale, I found the way to go unnoticed by the last horde of archviles, and then start BFG-spamming them when they first start coming out.

Note about difficulty settings:

Ultra-Violence (renamed "UV Max") is the main difficulty that all of the demos were recorded on. Hurt Me Plenty (renamed "Casual") is slightly more forgiving and is recommended for casual play. Hey Not Too Rough has been re-branded as "WILD!" and has experimental, ridiculous, or very hard gameplay that is sometimes barely tested, and will usually be harder than UV.
