For the holiday season, on 11/19/22 @luminaltheater is bringing back the Black cinema classic “The Preacher’s Wife” to the outdoors. It stars Denzel Washington as Dudley, a witty and debonair angel who comes to earth to restore the faith of struggling Baptist pastor Rev. Henry Biggs (Courtney B. Vance).

In this clip, see how Rev. Biggs is being pulled in a hundred directions by his parishioners' and church’s needs, making him unintentionally neglectful of his wife Julia (Whitney Houston) and son Jeremiah.

Also co-starring Jenifer Lewis, Gregory Hines, Loretta Divine, and Paul Bates, this comedic drama takes a hilarious twist when the usually unflappable Dudley accidentally falls in love...with the preacher's wife.
