The Biggest Little Farm follows two dreamers and their beloved dog when they make a choice that takes them out of their tiny L.A. apartment and into the countryside to build one of the most diverse farms of its kind in complete coexistence with nature.

The film chronicles their near decade-long attempt to create the utopia they seek, planting 10,000 orchard trees, hundreds of crops, and bringing in animals of every kind– including an unforgettable pig named Emma and her best friend, Greasy the rooster. When the farm’s ecosystem finally begins to reawaken, their plan to create perfect harmony takes a series of wild turns, and to survive they realize they'll have to reach a far greater understanding of the intricacies and wisdom of nature, and of life itself. #BiggestLittleFarm

I am a blueberry farmer south of Nashville. I’m taking as many of my friends and customers to see this. It validates my life and the lives of all Mother-loving farmers like me.

My brother-in-law quit his high paying job as a engineer manager at Amazon in Silicon Valley to start an organic farm a little over a year ago. I'll be going there tomorrow and will be making YouTube videos about his family's story. We need more people to start organic farming.

Simply loved this film. Our Urban Farm is 1/10 of an acre right in the city. We do what we can with it. Our soil is rich. Our chickens are happy. And we grow a shocking amount of food in our little postage stamp of a yard. We cried watching this movie. A great story, beautifully told.

I just took my kids and friends to see this in Raleigh. This was truly amazing and very memorable. I think this should be shown in schools to teach kids the difficulties that go into food production and the solutions for a healthier environment for all beings. I'm certain it would teach kids to better appreciate the food they eat and help spur a new generation of more thoughtful food production. The cinematography was amazing. Thank you for sharing your dream and dedication with the world in such a remarkable film.

Just saw it in LA, cried from the beauty. I love it SO MUCH! Excited to take a field trip up to explore the rich wonder in real life! It's such a blessing that a wildlife cinematographer and a chef ended up paired together, then followed their hearts on this wild ride, and documented it all so gloriously so that we get to enjoy it too.

My girlfriend and I saw this doc and loved it. We never thought we'd get choked up watching a farm doc, but damn we sure did. A wonderful film.

I watched this last night at a local theater. It's definitely worth the price of admission to see the amazing footage of wildlife on the big screen. This story will fill you with hope and wonder.

I just saw it tonight at the Summerfield Theater in Santa Rosa, CA. The film tapped right into my own personal quest and hope for finding balance and harmony with nature. John helped me see beyond what I was so far stumped on in my own journey. In his story, and in the telling of it, I was able to feel a "click" with everything that had been rolling around in me trying to find some sense with why the world around me feels so out of balance, how I can make better friends with my own garden rhythms, and why my own internal microorganisms feel so out of balance. Bringing biodiversity back in to balance things out is among the key pieces to my puzzle, and John's movie shows this lesson so sweetly and with such kindness and reverence for everyone's part in the family of all things. I'm so grateful for this film and to John and Molly for sharing their discoveries and hope for the future with us.

My wife and I saw Apollo 11 movie last night (Good Movie) But the trailer for the Farm Movie was played. I don't remember a time when I was brought to tears by a trailer. Simply Amazing. I can't wait to see the Biggest Little Farm. What a panoramic and beautiful movie. It must be such a hard blend of sweat work, Natural Challenges, and Utopian dreams. I'd love to work on one I'd never be able to own one .... because I'd never be able to sleep more than a few winks. God Bless our Farmers.

A definite must see. Coyote story. Rooster and pig litter story. And the snail infestation. The beautiful owls. That farm is a little bit of paradise right here in this country. I hope the man who showed them how to farm wrote some books about his great knowledge because he really knew what to do. May he rest in peace.

I am a city boy with a country back yard on almost a quarter acre lot in the middle of my city. I got five hens but we are allowed 7 if we want but no roosters. I have compost piles, bird feeders, bird houses, mesquite and pecan trees, orange, lemon, lime, and peach trees. I’m sure my neighbors hate it but oh well. I will get my acres in the near future but I want my kids to be in the good schools but I will buy the land now and sit on it until they get older. Nothing beats nature and I mean nothing.

One of the most inspiring ever recorded movie clips in my entire life. I watched it several months ago, it is trully inspiring. God bless all farmers and people who are making food, for themselves, for their family, for other, for us. Very hard work, no sleep, great courage and love you need for this.
