I think this video was a really good advice on how to approach an interview of this caliber. Remember, like he said in the beginning of the video, most people could be Police Officers, but they are not able to pass the test, because in order to pass the test, you need to SHOW genuinely that you really understood the key competencies.

Hi, are these still the core competencies? On the GMP website they list a different set of competencies that an applicants behavior will be assessed against. Then on top of those the college of policing has the CVS that lists a further 6 competencies. If you have time can you help clarify the situation for me. Thanks.

I have been invited to the Special Constable Assessment Centre for an assessment in August 2017.

The only concern for me is my maths is not brilliant. if I started a maths course which did not finish before the assessment and I failed the maths part. Would I fail ? or would the police allow me to join while I'm still completing my maths course?

I have my assessment day one in about 1 month. I applied 3 weeks ago, passed the online assessment by receiving my assessment day 1 invitation yesterday. I do have one question, how many more stages have I got left after assessment day 1?
