I loved MARCH, although it can be very gritty. Geraldine Brooks is a wonderful author! Pls consider reading her books, A YEAR OF WONDER and PEOPLE OF THE BOOK. 😄

Oh the book envy is real. A new Claire Fuller! A new Max Porter! I am one of those Lorrie Moore fans who would run and grab that proof off your shelves if I could. Now is Not the Time to Panic is terrific (and I loved Nothing to See Here too). Kevin Wilson is such a good writer. What a haul!

Ahh I wish I had Marian Keyes to read for the first time again, such brilliant books - enjoy! Also, loved the look of the short story advent calendar, wish they’d do a UK-one to make it all with shipping etc more affordable. A lovely idea 😊

Along with the non-fiction, I've been enjoying Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder, The Man in Lower Ten by Mary Roberts Rhinehart (terrific old fashioned mystery) and Shantaram, which is huge but enjoyable. Your books sound great.

27:37 - sometime tell us more about why buying books at grocery stores is not good for the industry. I rarely buy books there, or from drug stores or Costco, but once in a while I do. If no one buys them, they won't offer them any more, and isn't more books better than no books?

Hi Simon Talking about characters all in one place together, have you read London Belongs To Me by Norman Collins. One of my favourites
