How to use CLIPPING MASK in PROCREATE #Shorts

In this easy short Procreate tutorial, I will show you what clipping mask is and how you can use clipping mask in Procreate.

In this short Procreate tutorial we'll do the following:
✔ Make sure the shape you want to add texture to is the only thing on the layer (it shouldn't be merged with a background color!)
✔ Make a new layer on top by clicking the +
✔ Tap the new layer and select Clipping Mask, now it's clipped to the layer with the shape
✔ Whatever you painted on this clipped layer, will only show up on the shape that is on the layer below

Now you'll never wonder what clipping mask in Procreate is again!

When i first started procreate, i always draw something over a shape, then use the erase tool and erase the drawing parts that wasn’t in the shape which took years to do lol

What do I do if I need to draw on a new layer but don’t want my new lines to go on old layer? Is this clipping mask? Also for some reason my closed shapes aren’t working when I try to drag color into that shape only; it goes all over the entire page 😩
