Is better use Aux or usb in order to stream from an android device? In both cases are we still using the DAC of the pioneer unit, am i right?

I connected my phone(Huawei Mate 10 lite) with pioneer mvh-s120ubw and the volume is so quiet.i checked my phone volume was on max.3.5mm jack cable is New one
