Thats crazy i smelt the same smell . The first day i got to Victorville first time smelling iron (pennies) and like laundry soap or cleaning solutions mixed!! A smell you will never forget knowing how much blood gets shed at that place glory to god this man and i and everyone else who was able tobmake it out!!

I worked at Solano prison in Vacaville, a super badass prison. I was the xray tech and lasted two weeks befit my hair started falling out. I was alone in the xray room with the inmate each time.
One guy had kidnapped and murdered women and the officers outside by office saw the look on his face, as he was looking at me, and came rushing in and engulfed him and removed him from the room we were both in, alone.
I don't remember if I went back after that, but I definetly only did two weeks. When I was working there, only inmates the killed someone, murder to DUI kills, were there.
I'd bring coffee and danishes for the officers in the towers as they'd watch me through their scopes as I entered the prison. The inmates would be lined up to say, "good morning" to me every single day, ugh. Can't believe I fricken did that. It was so intense I had to smoke pot on the way to work each day. One day, I smoked four joints and only the inmate recognized it.He said, " didn't sleep last night? 😉 I threw a pack of gum on the floor for him and said, " you dropped your gum." He stopped talkin.
