Hi Paul. I couldn't pull the trigger on the Kettle Joe at full blown retail of $499 USD, but, when I saw it at Walmart for $324 with free shipping, it was a deal I was happy to jump all over. Great review, even though I don’t have one I think the Weber 26in kettle with a slow n sear is hands down the best deal out there. I personally have a pk360 and love it.

If you put a 22" car rim on your Weber, you have yourself a "slow roller." (Free tip Tuesday on a Saturday.)

You need to seal up the slow roller attachment with gasket tape. The slow roller is probably warped causing air to come in.

Great 2 month evaluation of the kettle Joe. Looks like you could get a 22” WSM and a standard 22” Weber kettle for less than the kettle Joe and pretty much do any type of smoking or grilling with those 2 units.

This was gifted to me for Christmas and I have been reuctent to set it up. The 2 big negatives I I see from your review, price and leaks. I don't mind modding to try fix leaking air, and since it was a gift, would you give it a try?

Love the honesty, price point is the thing I've looked at since I got "burned" when I bought a Traeger. Way overpriced compared to a Pit Boss.

In the UK they can be found for £350 .00 . Weber Barbie’s are much more expensive !
