Yet it amazes me that so many RV owners are totally satisfied with attaching their RV to their Auto Insurance.
Well why not it would save me money?
Would it really?
Sure, you can get liability and physical damage cover for the Trailer, Motorhome, or Camper.
However, there are many coverage GAPS, that you would suffer from with your RV covered under your Auto Property and Liability Coverage.
1. You would receive only actual Cash Value for your Trailer, Motorhome or Camper.
2. With most policies, you would not have coverage for the following:
• Your Personal Property
• Awnings
• Generators
• Other equipment
3. You would not have vacation liability coverage, which protects you in case someone is hurt in or around your RV
4. You certainly would not qualify for Diminishing Deductible as you would through some of the better Insurance Carriers.
