Ashamed that we, Cambodians can't make a change and I'm glad that Insider is making a video about this because speaking out against what's happening is dangerous here.

Thank Insider for this documentary. As a Cambodian citizen, we can see clearly about what's happening. But the problem is, the freedom of expression in Cambodia has limited. Speaking out about the truth is a risk thing to do against the government. I hope to see more videos of The True Cost about Cambodia to be known more.

Even here in the Netherlands (which should be developed by 'their' terms) we as a people are driven out of our lands and homes because of businesses plans, not to mention our farmers.

Even though we are a different kind of people, we are the same, we need to fight our governments or we will face the same fate

We will own nothing and 'be happy', but we won't be happy, we need to fight for our right.

As a Cambodian, I'm so disappointed with landlord security and related organizations. They don't realize and are not willing to do anything to stop these. Now they started to build walls around beautiful beaches and keep them as private areas in Sihanoukville.

This is happening in my neighborhood in North Carolina United States. Developers intentionally flooded us hoping to buy land cheaper after the homes had been flooded

I am not on the government side but where she living is illegal. The lake belong to the public not her family. What I heard is that they will make a public park here with school and hospital. So if she can stay there illegally what make other people go grab those lake lands?

People in this country suffer a lot constantly, the standard of living is very low.

The biggest problem is clean water. More than 2 million people in Cambodia lack access to safe water, and over 3 million lack access to improved sanitation.

Besides, pickpocketing, smuggling and small gangs are widespread in all areas.

This is especially because travelers and other investment management are not interested in Cambodia.
