Verse: Genesis 21:17 Isaac is born

This week we learn more about Sarah and Abraham as they welcome their son. Sarah names her son Isaac which means laughter. She laughed when the visitor told her that God would bless her with a child and she laughed again when her son was born. This time her laughter was that of pure joy. God brings Joy to our lives in so many ways through laughter, love and friendship.

Craft: For your craft this week I want you to get your parents to help you to find out what your name means and if you were named after anyone.

For example, my name is Susan Kay Rosenthal – I was named Kay after my mom and my grandmother and my name means “to be joyful”. Find out what your name means and do an art project with your name. Write it, color it, or do a video of you talking about your name and send it to me.
