No, YOU would never do that. It’s a projection/refusal to acknowledge the darkness of unregenerate man’s nature.

My mother is a worrier and always used to warn me about wicked people when I was a child. In my naivety, I didn't believe her. I was about 7 years old when a man and a woman stopped at the end of our driveway and tried to persuade me and a friend to get in their car. I had plenty of experience of nastiness until then but I think that was my first exposure to true wickedness.

He's 100% true. Psychopaths can never be fully trusted and have absolutely no moral compass or any concept of remorse or empathy. Those people can not be rehabilitated .

Not all people like that were brutalized. Some of the worst monsters I've ever encountered came from good homes and families. They were just evil and their good background couldn't change that.

I have a naive soul and very compassionate and I’m harmless. I married a narcissist with a narc family they tortured me emotionally. The ex put me into clinical depression three times. My super psycho narcissist sisters also emotionally tortured me and trap set me. Five years ago I went NO CONTACT with the whole narcissist pack for life. They were all so sadistic to me and I was their target. I love solitude and I’m totally independent. I nurture me and love me and my family that love me back which are my grand children. Narcissists in my opinion are satanic beings. Then when they take off their mask you can see their demon surfacing and it’s ugly so ugly and evil. I’m free now on the mountain top looking down on them where they’re stuck in the fog. They will pay the price for such evil torture to me in this life time and when they stand before God on judgement day.

This is why I don't totally accept that narcissists always result from low self-worth. Some of us might just been conditioned love feeling superior to others in a very selfish way. Not because of any trauma.

True compassion is never naive. True compassion sees the person for who they are deep down (beliefs, pain, shadow) vs how they show up (behaviors). Compassionate accountability invites them to take responsibility for their violations of another's free will. It's a delicate dance between mercy and justice.
