Massive crane collapses in Taiwan

Officials from Taiwan International Ports Corp (TIPC) surveyed the damage caused by two collapsed cranes at the Port of Kaohsiung on Thursday (June 3).

Video footage shared with Reuters showed stacks of containers crushed by the collapsed crane, while photographs showed officials walking through the port and evaluating the damage caused.

Earlier on Thursday, a container ship that sailed too close to the dock collided with one of the cranes and caused the accident, leaving two people trapped and one person injured, according to local media reports.
