iOS 4.3 Announced! iMovie, Garageband and Photo Booth for iPad 2

In this video I take a look at the new features in iOS 4.3 for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G, iPad and iPad 2. Some of the new improvements include a new Nitro javascript engine in Safari, AirPlay enhancements, the addition of a Personal Hotspot for the iPhone 4 and the option to choose what you want the iPad lock switch to mute or serve as an orientation lock.

Photo Booth was also announced and will come preinstalled on the iPad 2. It is very similar to Photo Booth on the Mac with a variety of filters for the video that are all applied in real time.

FaceTime is also coming to the iPad 2. It's exactly the same as on the iPhone and iPod touch, allowing you to video chat using the front and rear facing cameras on the iPad 2 to another iPad 2, iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G or Mac with FaceTime installed.

iMovie for the iPad 2 looks very good. It supports many desktop level features including multiple audio tracks, a multi-touch precision editor, a wide variety of themes and audio clips and HD video exporting.

Garageband on the iPad 2 looks to be as good if not better than the Mac version. It allows you to play a variety of instruments on the multitouch display including drums, guitar, bass, piano and organ. It has support for up to 8 tracks of audio in the editor and is available March 11th for only $4.99.

@chetopuffs A lot of it has to do with do you want a keyboard or not. Of course having a full features OS in Snow Leopard could be a plus as well, but an Air is twice the price and does do a lot of the same things as the iPad 2.

@chetopuffs the ipad cannot replace a computer. its designed as a mobile device and only a mobile device. for example, it doesnt support flash. and the ilife suit for the ipad still doesnt match that of the imac. this is just my personal opinion.

So the plan was to get the Air to back up my iPhone for when on the go in like 2 weeks and get an iMac after the refresh for home use.
My wife has a MB pro (15"/i7 duel core/8gb ram), iPhone and and gen 1 iPad. Just to get give you an idea of what we already have going on.
I was also going to pick up an AppleTV when I was back in the U.S. latter this month. It seems the best way to get U.S. movies and shows while living abroad.
So knowing all that, what would you do?
