Thank you for all these ideas Julie, I’m actually implementing the side table idea… i.e. a non-traditional night stand, just a small round table for a phone and a bottle of water at night. The only thing I’ve noticed, ( and I have commented on this before in a previous video ) the bedrooms you show are NOT small. They look more spacious than a bedroom in a traditional 5 room ranch house. If you can fit a bench at the end of your bed, as well as two nightstands and bureaus, your bedroom is not small. But that said, I can and have gleaned ideas from your informative videos videos. Thank you.

The open shelves here are touted as storage solutions, and yet almost all of the shots shown are of open shelves with countless bric-a-brac, which, frankly, only make a small bedroom feel smaller. Instead, you need places for sweaters and t shirts and socks.

Love your Small Spaces series. My husband and I have downsized and I'm learning how to live in a much smaller home. I'm excited about it and have purged and purged to make sure our new home looks and feels roomy. I like learning how I can do it better and with an elevated design style. I had plenty of room in my other home, so I didn't learn many of the ideas and creative ways you demonstrate. When my boys were younger, I made a peg rack for over their bedroom window. They hung their hat collection on it. Doubled as a window treatment. It was cute in a kids room.

Me using a garment rack in real life is never going to look as tidy as in the examples. If you look at the photos you'll see that the clothes hanging are mostly brown, black or cream. In real life my clothes are much more varied in color and patterns. Just an observation. Regardless, your videos never fail to entertain and teach. Thx.

To keep the small bedroom calm and uncluttered I put the tv on a dresser in the closet which was parallel to the bed. There was about 16 inches on each side of the bed so it really helped manoeuvring in the room and made it so cozy to curl up and watch Netflix before bed. Thanks for this video, it was very helpful and have to say you look adorable in that fabulous blouse.
