Could you please show me any proof describing that Mitochondrial’s outer membrane allows only small molecules passing through and inner membrane is impermeable? Our Biology professor is a Ph.D in Biology, but he insists saying that Mitochondrial’s outer membrane also allows macromolecules passing through, and its inner membrane has no limits. I have read from different sources (one of the sources is from NIH’s website) showing similar results as you described, but when I showed it to him, he said that things I showed to him are not convincing enough. So, please help me to convince him that what he learned are already wrong and outdated..

i have a question regarding the cell transportation.. am i just want to ask .."how mitochondria transport ATP to the carrier protein in order for the molecule get outside and inside of the cell membrane from low to high concentration??
