am I the only one who feels even more anxious to talk in online school because my parents will hear what I'm saying?

When I had to start working from home, the worst part of it was that I felt like my shelter... my place of peace and sanctuary from the world had been invaded.

video calls are absolutely more draining. i can physically feel my energy levels depleting rapidly mid-call

Just the fact that you're facing a camera and you're being watched, consumes all our mental strength..

I also feel like staying at home all the time blurs the line between "work time" and "rest time", which as you said were separated by "the space". Very draining honestly. I am an introvert and quarantine is the worst.

At the office: colleagues talking at me, colleagues talking at each other, phone calls, meetings, people popping in from entirely different departments...
At home: mom nagging at me, bro being a nuisance, my beloved doggo demanding attention, million emails and online meetings...
Conclusion: I might just move to the Moon to have some peace

Plus Zoom meetings with extroverts are draining, they keep interrupting and talking when you are trying to say something, it is extremely frustrating

I've noticed from going from online to in person that my social anxiety/skills are much worse.

Especially if someone is a social minimalist, this high dependancy on online platforms feels very exhausting and somehow more burdening for everyone because the person at the opposite end is not able to realize how much is too much or too less.

Omg the second point is sooo true. I'm a college student and before the pandemic I was staying at a house with a bunch of other girls but I had my privacy and noone could force me to do something. But now I am drowned in a crowded Asian household and God it is traditional East! You CANNOT get away from the chores even if you have exams the other day😭😭😭 Lord give us strenght✊😔

I agree that its better to leave the house to go to work. While my commute may be stressful at times, at least I can have a separate place to go during the day. And when its time to go home, I can leave my workday stress behind and return to my home, which is my solace. It's important to have a peaceful place to decompress after a long day.

Working remotely has been great for me. When I'm feeling drained during meetings I can just mute. Honestly, I think working remotely has been a great thing to come out of 2020

I agree. I like to separate the workplace and home, and always want to keep home just as a resting place.

There are 4 types of introverts as Frank pointed out in an earlier video. The "thinking" class of introvers etc. love working from home... forever. Our introversion is not based on social anxiety, but a preoccupation with the world in our heads. I have ALWAYS worked from home since before Covid and I love it. So much!

People choosing to record meetings makes me ANGRY. Like, thanks, now I have to be self conscious while hearing you talk for an hour and a half
