If they changed the passive to only work with the W, then it should be part of his W skill and just give him a new passive.

Gragas' entire kit is basically "I will do everything I can to prevent any meaningful interaction with my enemy laner while also having insane teamfighting and pick potential". I have no clue why Riot always lets him be a top kit for many patches he's so uncompetitive.

Making his Passive only proc on W is not relevant because his W is already the preferred skill for lane sustain since it's the lowest mana cost one.

I mean you're a Riven one trick and Gragas is the best counter to your champion... Yes I agree that Gragas top lane is very braindead broken, but in all other lane that he can be flexed with he's pretty bad. Maybe mid lane in some melee match up is great, but against mages he gets pretty much no priority as he gets perma pushed in lane. Not saying he doesn't deserve a nerf or anything, but stop over exaggerating his current state as you're making it seem like he's super turbo broken when there's lots of champions that are currently more broken than Gragas right now.

his passive applying to only his W wouldnt change much tbh, you proc it almost as often as you use your W, if you want W to heal, then give him a new passive

I think it's quite funny that the fat Drunk champ can one shot you with full ap build. Thematically fits with the drunken master movies.

the fact that gragad has so much fucking DAMGE reduction scaling ap is insane not only is it the superior form of survivability not only does it acale really well with health which most mage items provide but it scales with ap this guy becomes the talkies champion in the game while having 900 ap a 25 seconds ult that has a really good cc peel and a fucking tachtical nuke and did I forget that his insane sustain means that if you somehow deal damage to him he'll be full health in a few seconds

Well, making passive apply healing only when damaging something could do the trick
Lets say full healing when damaging champions, maaybe along with jungle camps, and for sure halved heal if damaging creeps
