Vince Gilligan used the main theme just once in the whole 5 seasons ....but when he did it he created the best scene of all time

Call him a bad person, he'll brush it off,

But call him insignificant, he'll come knocking!

Such a powerful scene. The way Walt escapes from the police by turning into a whiskey was simply outstanding. Vince Gilligan is a genius.

The way they saved the main theme and then just hit you with it right before the final episode is absolutley insanely awesome.

Nothing is more dangerous than a man with nothing to lose.

The symbolism in this show is just genius. I've never noticed this before, but the cash actually symbolizes that Walter paid for the drink. Bravo Vince.

Everybody gangsta till the theme music starts playing

This is the best use of main theme ever in a movie/series. They used it only once in the entire series and it was a bang

I feel like THIS scene right here is the perfect representation of how fast this man changes, he went from helpless Walter straight into Heisenberg for one last time

I'm so lucky I watched this show after all episodes were released. Waiting a week to get the continuation of this would have absolutely eaten me up inside.

He's broken. He's beaten. His son hates him. He threatened his wife over the phone so that she wouldn't get a hard time from the police. His brother in law is dead. His money, everything he worked for, is stolen or sitting uselessly in a barrel in the middle of nowhere. Everything he's worked for is for nothing. He's finally done. And then... Elliot appears on TV and publicly rubbishes his intelligence, his genius, his accomplishments. And suddenly, that pride, that ego, that ruthlessness, is back. He's Heisenberg again, one last time. Best scene in the series.

The only unrealistic thing about this scene is Charlie Rose asking hard-hitting questions and not interrupting his guests every 10s

I love how perfectly chilling it is when Gretchen says
"He's... gone."
and then Heisenberg slowly looks into the camera with a dark expression, and suddenly the tension and drums kick in in the music, and you start to realize what song is playing
The gritty guitar melody starting to kick in as the police storm the bar too
Amazing scene to lead in to the grand finale

fun fact it's worth it to watch the show just for this scene alone.

The only scene in the whole damn show where the original soundtrack was used.

This scene is THAT poignant.

Its weird to think that Jesse would be screwed if the bartender had chosen a different channel. 💀

this scene is the almost literal definition of the phrase "breaking bad".

Walt's conscience: "There's nothing left Walter. The police are on their way. You're done."
(Watches Elliot & Gretchen on tv)
Heisenberg: "We're done, when I say we're done."
