Glad to see you both back. If I'm honest the BMW sounds better as it sounds throatier and Anthony is right the Golf and indeed the BMW both need manual gearboxes. Given the choice despite not being a fan of either car I think despite the BMW sounding better, I'd have the Golf.

Our seat leons have the same info system inside. Found it really frustrating to use for heat and audio. Quite distracting to operate on the move. Loved the bmw and the i drive is amazing. So much so ive ordered one.

Would have the Golf. Wouldn't even consider the BMW.

Surely the golf should have been put up against the M135i?!

The normal Golf has 245HP. You have the seldom Clubsport Edition, no one can buy. So the comparison starts with a cheat. Even when you

I wonder how many hot hatch drivers would beer off at the last moment and spend €52k on a model 3 instead, and get the pace and practicality, for a few quid less, but lose the hot hatch character?

Only whan vw will change to real limited slip dif and swich to aluminum engine it will be a real competitor to the ti.

My BMW 330e M Sport was €55k… cheaper than that golf and the 0 to 100 time is pretty much the same when I’ve the battery charged. I just don’t think either car is worth the money, but the VW is particularly overpriced. The interior quality of all modern VW products have taken a dive. I had a Seats and 3 Audi before I moved to BMW this Summer. Quality much better, so for me, if I had to pick, I’d take the BMW here.
