You don't have to grind the reps to get the racial mounts. You can buy them without the rep if you are that race. You literally just have to make a class trial of that race, send it a little gold, buy and unlock the mounts in your collection, then delete that character.

Another easy way to get the race mounts like orc, troll, etc is to just make a death knight in whatever races you want to be and just buy the mounts that way instead of having to farm rep

the mammoth is actually still useful. Not just as a vendor mount, but they actually updated it to sell shadowlands reagents, which they did not do for the yak. You want both!

These are great tips. I didn't know about Garn Howl. Now that I do, it seems the entire server population of Staghelm is out to get him; there's always 4 or 5 people camped at the trees.

I found the smoldering ember wyrm pretty easy to get, Kara mythic is trivial to solo at this point and triggering nightbane is pretty easy. It's only a 20% drop chance, but that's pretty decent and is multiplied by the number of people in the instance who are eligible for loot even if they have the mount so if you take 4 friends who've already got it, it will have a 100% chance to drop for you.

For some reason I got a lot of the racial mounts after just logging in one day :l never did figure that one out. But hey, I'll double check anyway.
Botanica farm is a great idea, id just been farming vanilla dungeons (and getting a whopping 3 rep per mob) and crying but that looks so much easier.

to get race mounts you can create a class trial character and send that toon gold and buy them that way. once you create the char use your hearth and from there go buy the mount!

Back in the day before the level squish, I leveled all of the horde side races in a death knight and bought all the mounts, took me a few hours but better than grinding tabards imo
