In this video, we dive into the hilarious and sometimes painful mistakes that new players make when they first step into the world of Destiny 2. From accidentally dismantling their favorite gear to mismatching exotics, these are some of the noobs moves that define the early days of every Guardian's journey. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a fresh-faced new light, there's something here for everyone to relate to.

Next up, I recommend these other videos on my channel:

To be fair noobs aren't the only ones that melee the exploding enemies. I've been playing for 10 years and still punch those mfers.

Despite the fact noobs doing their mistakes, true guardians know that our duty is help and teach them. Our newlights, our bluberries must be protected at all costs.

We had someone join a Master Atheon run, and he was wearing Sunbracers with Voidlock. Everybody in the team was dying😂

Okay but the traps thing is hilarious. I love bringing people through those dungeons for the first time and letting them struggle, helping only once they truly give up/giving vague hints on what NOT to do--because sometimes they actually do figure it out and it makes them feel really smart

Honestly, despite playing for 3+ years, I do like half of these things still

The thing is, if they scrapped the New Light campaign, just had the old one where you fly to the city then had little cinematics where Banshee teaches you about Infusion, weapon mods, Ada teaches you about armour mod and synergy, Ikora teaches you about the artifact and class ability building, then Devrim about Lost Sectors and Public Events, Drifter on Gambit, Zavala on Strikes and Vangard Ops.. etc... This game would be way more accessible than some join the dots go fetch for the worst Guardian of all time.

Been playing since D1 Beta. I learnt a lot in this video. I’m of the opinion that Destiny 2 is a game of 2 different worlds. The one I play which has been ten years of stories, strikes, Gambit and PvP and there’s this other world above with the players that raid and dungeon and have the word “adept” at the end of their weapons.

The double auto + machine gun new light titan is terrifying

Funny how many of these "noob" things I actually still sometimes do even though I have played Destiny since D1... Mainly because I am a super casual player.

I would argue that the very first so called "noob mistake" is no mistake at all. When playing low-level activities such as strikes (not that I play those often) I just dont need to use my well and heavy to breeze through ads, leaving them solely to melt the boss. Even in raids I use heavy only when I really need to, and my usual double special builds handle the rest just fine.
Top 1k raider btw

You forgot the I have to kill everything while ignoring the objective in seasonal activities or strikes.

listen. I've been playing for years but you show me an exploding thrall, and something in my brain just goes "ooo shiny" and needs to slap it

I forgot how to crush the ghosts when i came back to d2 during witch queen. Me and another guy spent an hour on the strike, on the roof top hiding, endlessly killing the knight 😂😂😂

The corrupted orb meme, why e funny is also a frustrating product of Bungie not really having a communication in-game that informs players what to do with them. In newer content, such as Seraph Shield, they've started putting in mechanic tool-tips. They should really start implementing them wider in the game. BUT ALSO ifthey do that, there needs to be a setting to turn them off. I dont want a reminder of how DSC augments work every Seraph Shield run, yknow?

One of the only things that blows my mind to this day is why double primary and a machine gun is so common to see. I genuinely dont understand it.

I get what you mean in the segment about "passing the orb" and I've been guilty of that. On the other hand, as far as I can recall is nothing to indicate you should pass the orb to a teammate. I find that in a lot of game play: Often times the player has no idea at all what to do in with something after they get it. And, how is a new player supposed to know how to make an event a "heroic Event" when there is nothing to tell the player how to do it? It's hard to play any game when you have no clue what's going on. I often have to refer to YouTube videos to find out how to play a certain game segment. I find Bungie especially bad at telling players what is going on. It's like Bungie just assumes a player will know what to do or will waste hours tryng to figure it out. One last thought: I believe there are far, far too many jumping puzzles in the game. Too much time jumping, too little shooting!

When I started playing I deleted nearly all of my weapons because I thought that you only have your inventory to store your weapons😅

I'll be honest I've been playing Destiny since D1 and D2 since launch and I do still occasionally hold my Super back until the final boss. Same with melee exploding enemies, I do that too. Sometimes it's just because being a Hunter main I'm more focussed on maintaining Combination Blow than I am looking at the enemies I'm actually punching, it's very easy to get caught up in the punch, dodge loop that you do it on autopilot and stop paying attention to who or what you're hitting.
