Dandruff is a very common condition that more than 50% of people are suffering from, it is usually observed in the age group 15-30 years old. Dandruff is found mostly on the scalp because you have the maximum oil gland there that produces sebum and the area of your scalp is also extremely dark which means the density of your hairs on the crown does not allow much sunlight which leads to giving an ideal environment for the fungus called “Malassezia globosa”. Dandruff leads to making the scalp flaky which will cause a constant itch. It isn't contagious or serious. But it can be embarrassing and difficult to treat. Mild dandruff can be treated with a gentle daily shampoo. If that doesn't work, a medicated shampoo may help. Stay tuned to know more.
