The Pontiac flat hydraulic that was used with their 041 RA/IV camshaft and valve train in 69/70 was capable of keeping track of the valves at over 7, 000rpm.Went there with my crate engine many times on the street.’64 LeMans. There were many more parts inside, tho, to basically lock them up.

Them big boy lifters have been around since the 90s. My hp 500 boat motor uses them

I went with the Johnson link bars on mine.
I was expecting them to be a little noisy but really havent noticed them yet since Im just starting tuning,

Can the ls7 work in a original SBC Chevy roller motor

You left out that the LS7 lifter is a drop in service replacement for the GEN ll LT1 / LT4 “‘92-‘96” Gen 1 SBC 87 and up with factory roller cam’s.
But of course you guys like to forget these engines exist…

Good info, but tell your sound guy I'm gasping for breath listening to this

If I use the LS7 lifter in a totally stock 2005 5.3ls will I have to change the pushrods? If so, what would you recommend?

But why do they go bad in GMC 5.3 liter?

I just ordered a cam and it has ls7 with dual titanium springs🥲

The GM LS7 lifter set (16) now is well over $400.

Then why so many part #’s ??!. It’s so damn confusing when ordering or looking for lifters
You got 17122490, 12499225, or 12648846 so what is the difference ? Video idea.?

If I change my camshaft to a higher lift, say a .580 lift can I still use stock springs and valves or can you recommend a good setup to use for that lift? Thankyou Dale
