Two Point Campus Strategy & Tactics Quick Tip - The Perfect 10 Dormitory

The very first thing a new student seeks out when walking onto your campus is a dorm room. More than just a place for your students to sleep, a dorm room counts for way more than just need fulfillment. Properly built, they can boost income and happiness and are cheap compared what some of the other rooms can cost.

The Perfect 10 Dormitory is a place of absolute bliss for up to 50 students without breaking the bank or taking up too much space. Your students will thank you for building these, at least until they get the rent bill at the end of the semester.

pinstar is the most two point technical guy on youtube, completely hacked them. Campus team took points how he played hopsital, made changes accordingly. Now he did it again. love your content man!

I needed to return to this video and comment now that I've three-starred all the levels without ever restarting or having a student fail. It all came down to this dormitory. It's a beast! For every new campus this was the first thing I built, and the most important step to success. I made sure it was built out as much as I could afford before starting the next year, followed the rule of eight, and satisfied all student requests that I could, and from there it was mostly just a waiting game to fulfill objectives. I never worried about maxing out all loans at the start with this dormitory, because it pays back so much. If you move it or create it between years, always let the current summer students "check in" again before bringing in the crowds of new students. You want to let as many check in before their first class so you can start collecting rent and XP bonuses. Only on levels without rent (Upper Etching and Breaking Point, I think) did I need to be a bit more careful, but typically the bonuses caught up eventually. In general, by year three or four I had more money than.I ever knew what to do with on all campuses. Thanks Pinstar for a design that, at least for me, was key to pretty much breaking the game. Combined with the 2x4 showers and bathrooms it's a perfect design

Thank you so much! I've just started and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why my accommodation rating was so low even though I had enough beds and fewer might I add, thinking that would do the trick. This is gonna be my new template! Thanks Pinstar! 😃

FYI, While your Perfect 10 room is a fantastic build for those who don't use fine tuning (which is great in general to avoid when possible since item placement in rooms has seemed to be much more finicky so far than in TPH, patches notwithstanding.), if you use fine tuning it can be improved upon.

By smushing the two sets of three beds together on one side and the two beds together on the other side as much as possible toward the corners, you can get much more space in the center. From there, you can place two wardrobes on either side of the door facing each other, saving room on the other wall. Using this extra space, you can smush a third wardrobe and the third bed together in the center, while still leaving room for the Double Jump bed as normal.

Best of all, all of this can fit into a 6x3 space rather than a 7x3. It doesn't give as much space in the center of the courtyard if you place the toilets and showers at the ends for your mosh pit, but there are alternative layouts and it's still a viable option for any campus.

I've used and tested this build extensively, and I rarely ever have any conflicts with item placements. The only time I have had any issues so far was because I placed a hand sanitizer in the center of the wall between the two sets of three beds, and it was easily fixed by moving it toward the other side of the room.

I'm happy to be back watching Pinstar with another TP game! You're why I played TPH in the first place and why I was so excited for the launch of TPC.

Would you consider doing Achievement/Trophy guides for this game? There are a few specific accomplishment achievements that would be helpful to have a guide for, but there are even more achievements related directly toward getting "X" number of certain tasks done, like "Resolve 100 pastoral issues" or "Develop 50 soulmates". Guides to help us streamline these tasks and get them done quicker could be quality content?

I'll watch your stuff either way, but just a thought as I love going for achievements in these types of games!

Love that you are doing this like you did TP hospital, much appreciated

Most important tip I've found so far is the rule of 8.
Lecture halls / classrooms can only hold a max of 8 students, so keep intake at multiples of 8. Taking in 10 students may require you to build extra rooms to accommodate the extra 2 students its very wasteful

I followed your guides for TPH, and I'm back for TPC. Love your builds, love your explanations, huge fan. Carry on!

Students don't need a desk in their dorms ? That's a bit weird... I like the game so far, but I feel like Two Point Hospital made more "sense" because the number of patients in the queue and number of doctors per patient, were ok. Here the lecture theaters are mostly empty and very small, while students don't even have their own beds and share them with 4 others students. A standard dorm room in an American college is 2 or 4 people, I would have liked to see that implemented somehow. I know simulation games have to make choices like that all the time, but it feels like they took too much from TP Hospital and so were a bit lazy to go full on toward an actual campus simulation.

Thank you Pinstar! Your Ward, Fracture Ward template in TPH helped me get all the stars!

My "PINSTAR DORM" template works to perfection - I have them all at 10 or 11 stars and have had no complaints. :) Thanks for the tips

I'm so happy to be seeing your builds in real-time for once. I was late to playing two point hospital so you had a smorgasbord of videos already made haha 😆

After losing my save from a bug(first 3 schools 3 starred), I had least can back up quicker with these tips. Thanks Pinstar, the music will make this a breeze

Just the tip on varying your objects made clicking this video worthwhile. At a minimum, just varying the beds makes a difference, and now I know not to spam the same decorations in my rooms. Any thoughts on adding the other objects to the bedroom like the desk or an entertainment object? Or are they better handled elsewhere?

Nice. I still have a lot of dlc boards to clear on hospital, though will be starting this game as well. Looks great. Great insights.

This is a great design. In my experimenting, I was able to fit 8 beds and 2 wardrobes into a 4x3. They're all regular beds and not the big bouncing one, but I was able to keep it at 100% for the accommodation rating. I'll likely switch to your design once I unlock the big bed, as long as I can otherwise fit it into my campus layout.
