Paris Olympics 2024: Businesses disappointed with tourist numbers

More than halfway into the Paris Olympics, the City of Light is lacking some golden glow. Tourist numbers are down on what France was hoping for with visitor projections lowered from 15 million to 11 million.
And business people say it hasn't been the bumper summer they were promised.

It's disastrous for Parisian business without tourists refusing to pay astronomical prices due to Olympics as well as the locals running away from the stress of the event. People are not deceived by ads which usually promise unforgettable moments in these events.

Too expensive.
Many people I know, who forked out for Rio back in the day, considered Paris to be taking the ‘proverbial‘ as far as prices are concerned. They just looked at the schedules; booked their days off and rocked up at the club to watch ‘their sports‘ with their mates.
Paris is the easiest place to get to from Britain. It was all just too expensive.
I bet there were twenty times as many Brits (Scots and English) who went to Germany for the Euros.
The Belgians live next door; half of them speak the same language and even they were not interested!

okio Olimpic Games 2020 paso sin pena, ni gloria..! Y este Paris 2024 casi lo misno. Hay que notar que la nueva generacion no tiene interes en los juegos olimpicos, . Primero por que son muy largos y hay otras cosas interesantes en social media que atrae mas el interes. Segundo por que hay otras formas de entreteniemto o programas, y ademas las olimpiadas ya no es la unica cosa que pasan por la tele. Tercero por que la gente prefiere hacer deporte envez de verlo y ahora hay casi un gym en cada esquina. Paris 2024 solo se sostiene con un costoso marketing, los patrocinadores y las familias de los competidores que son los unicos que ven las olimpiadas. Y seguro, que ni siquiera lo siguen completamente, sino que en cuanto pierde su competidor lo dejan enseguida...! Y con los mundiales de football pasa lo mismo... :))))
