Spectators complain after leaving Olympics opening ceremony early

Some Parisians and tourists said they couldn’t see clearly at the opening ceremony at the Paris Olympics and decided to leave.

People complaining there are too many spectators for an international event.... They are one of those spectators too. Did they expect no spectators at all? If it is, then the opening ceremony would be effed up.

Concepts were not ideal, and it rained. It blocked views for the front rows, too. In the rain, it is difficult to hear piano or any sounds. One just wants to get inside, warm, and cozy.

It’s disappointing all the live feeds weren’t of the ceremony itself, but of crowds of people watching the ceremony in places where it wasn’t. A real let down.

It's a money making event. The commercial aspects have overshadowed the competition and the international themes. It's being advertised nonstop on the television channel that paid billions for the right to have exclusive coverage.

I mean, given that the ceremony was spread across the Seine, watching it on TV was likely the better option to begin with. At least you could see all of the action.
