Small thing I found might be interesting: When the word Ellis is shown with the Rat King, it might be a callback to the fact that Ellis is living inside of the walls, since that is what rats usually do.

Want to throw out my crazy theory here:

Ellis discovered what he thought was the afterlife and tried to "cross over", but wound up stuck in a timeloop.

There are 2 Ellis' because one version of him is living these events for the second time (at least).

As a result of these loops, time is beginning to decay, the same way a VHS tape wears out every time it's replayed, and the proof of that is in the mold.

The password for the site is "signetics" (without quotes obviously). The Signetics 8x300 is a microprocessor from the late 1970's which might or might not be important to the story. It takes you to a weird audio file.

Edit: this might be the biggest stretch I’ve ever made, but the video with the dudes in suits reminds me a lot of computer engineers from back in the day who would always dress like that.

i’m shocked to see no one mentioning this, but i feel like there’s a connection between ceiling fans and the concept of hypnogogia. If you’re lying on your back in bed and trying to fall asleep and maybe having some difficulty, you might find yourself staring at the spinning fan above you. just a thought

So update: it looks like the HA story is over. They released a final video and new text files on Halloween and looks like the story is done. Now there's new merch that supposedly add to it.
But doing some research I found that the HA is part of a larger project by the creator Nicholas Sequeira. Also, the Filthy Treatise does tie in to both this and the larger project. Worth having a look through....

Why? Maybe it’s because if these ghosts pass on, the archive won’t be able to keep record of them anymore. They’ll be “dead”. And the goal of the archive is to “keep the past alive by any means necessary”
