It's just Jonathan working the software from behind.

Infectious Disease conceptualizes a heaven where people still need hospitals.

as an ID doc, inappropriate use of Meropenem is my BIGGEST pet peeve!

Yesterday, I asked my eye surgeon and her excellent med student if they watched Dr. G and they both flipped out. Happy conversation about how funny you are!

Ortho prescribed something other than Ancef? This is not reality.

Honestly if this increases antibiotic stewardship I think this is one of the first AI based things that I think is actually, like, helpful for humanity. I'm sure more things to come but ya, this sounds good...

I love Ortho being happy that he managed to not make bug-bro’s life harder

This is one of the uses of AI that I *can* approve, as it's got experts overseeing it, and it's NOT stealing creative content from humans without our permission.

As a retired ID doc I am proud of your portrayals of me and my brethren! 😂

For most of the video, I was like - who is this guy in blue...? And where's infectious disease? And at the end, when he put on the glasses, I was like - oh, there he is... I recognize him now.

I get the feeling the server is run by Texaco Mike and monitored by Jonathan.

I've been learning so much about new medicine, procedures and software from this channel that it will definitely help me in my medical career... in my next life.

It’s actually just Johnathan’s WFH gig. He’s the “AI”

A resident I worked with as a student actually made something similar as his PhD project. It was an app that used local data from pathology labs around the country to determine the most prevalent pathogen for that infection site for a patient from that region. So that way if a rural town had a high prevelance of azythromycin sensitive MRSA, and you had a patient in the hospital in the city with a skin infection, you could determine to give them azythromycin instead of fluclox or Vanc

Next, the private equity will come in and fire everyone.

I got screamed at by my attending this week for suggesting that if the pt with atypical CAP was improving on azithromycin, we didn't need to switch to levofloxacin because it's "stronger."

The struggle about antibiotic stewardship is real and constant.

There's not an AI in the world that's going to keep me from double checking an order of Dapto or Rifampin from ortho.

Sincerely,
Pharmacy

It’s because you’ve got a badass nocturnist pharmacist that’s fully committed to antimicrobial stewardship and appropriate empiric regimen selection and deescalation as sensitivities come back and won’t take “because my attending wants me to” as an answer. 😎

If I do say so myself….

Happy Pharmacy week!

I love tools like this! An AI "too many things to remember" brain helping out so doctors can do actual doctor things like INTERACT WITH PATIENTS AS HUMANS, I love it!

I like the marketing take of “it doesn’t replace your job, it supplies the 10, 000 clones of you that you wish you had to tell everyone else how to do their job.”
