To clarify a few things since a lot of people in these comments seem to be missing the point: we are not claiming that the companies that makes these are lying to people. They do exactly as advertised. However, there are many people that have contacted us asking if Throttle Control Systems will make their car faster, which they DO NOT.

Eliminates the throttle lag which is a serious pain in the ass

I love it.

Pedal commander does not make your car faster or increase power, AND it does not claim to!!! It increases throttle response, taking away that lag in a newer drive-by-wire vehicle. It is also not a generic one-size-fits-all, and the response is customizable. If you want to review a product, fine, but do not say it does something it never claimed to do, and then bash that!

The Pedal Commander does what it claims to do. MAKE THE PEDAL more sensitive. Never claims to be a performance enhancement. I have it and I love what it does.

It gives the throttle a more analog feel. Growing up driving a cable throttle, (which in a high horsepower car is a lot like an on off switch) it feels more like what I'm used to. It also removes the lag between when I push and the engine reacts.
I know its not giving me more power, but it is letting me use the power I have more intuitively. I feel like I'm in control rather than asking my car's permission to accelerate, and the computer deciding if its ok.

All I know is, with this product installed on my car, the lag in my acceleration goes away. If I remove this product and try to emulate it by simply pressing the pedal faster and harder, I cannot. No matter what I do, there is lag.

My number one reason for using this is city driving here in Chicago. Being able to pull in and out of traffic quickly but with control. With this device, I have that control due to faster response. Without it, I don't, and I can't recreate it no matter what I do when the device is not installed.

Could I get it professionally tuned instead? I suppose. But this was much cheaper, easily unplugs, provides easy adjustment, etc. Simply a better option for my stock 2015 daily driver.

From what this guy is saying, apparently, some people must think these devices add HP or increase overall top speed, which they don't - and so I presume he's responding to that.

But when he makes blanket statements like "they really don't do much for your vehicle" and "it's kind of crappy" and "it's basically tricking your car into thinking that you're giving it more throttle than necessary vs. you actually flooring your car and getting that" - those statements are simply not true in my experience.

I'm certainly glad I purchased the product before watching this video.

Any car/truck person should know by now that a "Throttle Control System" improves throttle response, not horsepower. But you are correct, a complete tune or re-flash of your ECU can improve performance at the HP level, as well as throttle response, since the throttle body is controlled electronically.

I believe the 90% of people that can attest to this product actually working exactly as advertised in the comments completely prove you wrong.
In my Ram i shaved a whole second off my 0-60 time with this product. It does not increase HP but it does make an extreme difference in acceleration due to increased throttle response

This video confirms that the Pedal Commander controls throttle response sensitivity only and does not give you extra power. That is precisely what it is made for. Suggest re-naming the video title to "Why you SHOULD buy a Pedal Commander". Max Orido himself even developed a product like the Pedal Commander for his gen 2 86/Brz. It is about connection to the car, not speed.

Even if you tune the vehicle it will not remove the delay that a modern throttle body has designed in. My LS3 restomod Trans Am is fully dyno tuned, and still had the delay built in by GM. The pedal commander allowed me to control the “snap” in the throttle…

I got 35 extra HP with mine, went from 0-60 5.5 to now 4.5 0-60 makes a BIG Difference

No where on the pedal commanders website does it say it increases power. It does NOT say that. You guys are the ones saying it says that.

It is meant to increase throttle response which it clearly states on the website. Don't call something misleading when it makes no attempt to mislead anybody.

Pedal Commander is Amazing, I have one no kidding doesn't add HP but provides much quicker throttle response

Shoutout to people who actually own the product defending it. Buying one now for my charger rt 💪

You missed the point that the pedal commander eliminates the throttle response delay. That's the real point of the device.

Yeah, he's right about not putting it on a track car, but what he may not realize is the positive affect it has on a street driven truck. Its great

I’m coming back to the comments after over a year to say that ignoring this video and getting the peddle commander was the right choice! I’ve enjoyed it ever since I put it in. Amazing product!!

I have one on a 2018 Ford Focus SE (i know, i know) but the car had zero acceleration and the pedal commander improved it tremendously

The thing about the PC is that you can control it literally with the click of a button. It’s for fun and excitement, yeah tunes can do that, but the PC can be turned on/ off at any point.

I’ve been a mechanic for 25 years and I have a BMW M3 with a tune and the sprint booster did increase my 0 to 60 time by almost a second and that was full throttle all the way down testing because it is giving the car a different map for the throttle input so sir regardless I find your statements to be somewhat exaggerator and on top of that I was using a GPS based 0 to 60 timing device
