This certainly did not go to plan!

I could have easily given up at multiple points, but I'm pleased that I managed to get something quite pretty at the end of the process.

I've checked and my multi-tool has a 2 year warranty, so I'll be getting that fixed next week.

Thank you for watching

*If you shop through these links, I may receive a small commission. The price is the same for you, but it helps support me as a novice woodturner in my quest to get a better lathe to make even bigger projects, and I really appreciate it!

Note this is NOT an instructional video, or designed for any education purposes, it is simply my own personal steps on my wood turning journey.

Very nicely done! part of being an artist is pivoting and making it "intentional"

Sometimes what you watned to do isn't what you wind up doing. And sometimes a miss winds up a hit! It is all about how you can pivot and rescue what didn't turn out right.

I think it turned out amazingly, and as Bob Ross said there’s no mistakes there’s just happy accidents

Weve all had those days when nothing seems to go right but it turned out ok I would have put some rainbow wax on the outside to emphasize the grain but all in all a great job mate

although you say everything that could have gone wrong went wrong, I don't agree, the burning worked wonders, and the torch didn't blow up

The holes looked a bit weird in my opinion. The finished result was nice.
