The day Messi survived plane crash in 2016

There was a tragic event in 2016 involving a plane that Messi and the Argentine national team had flown on just two weeks prior to the crash. The plane, LaMia Flight 2933, crashed on November 28, 2016, while carrying the Brazilian football team Chapecoense, resulting in the loss of 71 lives.

Messi and the Argentine team had used the same aircraft to fly from Brazil to Buenos Aires after a World Cup qualifier against Brazil. It was reported that the flight they were on had a very narrow margin for error regarding fuel capacity, but they landed safely.
