Lionel Messi almost died. Messi had just suffered a devastating loss to Brazil and wanted to get out of the country as fast as possible. But instead of waiting for his private jet, him and his teammates all hopped on the Bolivian La Mia for a last-minute flight takeoff was smooth. The boys were in the air and this was something they'd been through hundreds of times. But this time they should have checked who was flying the plane because four hours into the flight, the plane sparked an error and the pilots had only 18 minutes to land or else. So, with time ticking down, the plane started shaking and the pilots panicked. They radioed everywhere praying they'd find a landing spot and with just a few minutes to spare, the plane came in hot. But once they landed, Messi's squad didn't know how lucky they actually were because after they hopped off the plane, it refueled and took off to another destination without them. But this time it crashed into a mountain and killed all 75 of its passengers.
